Platform Terminology

This reference page defines the key terms and concepts used across the Zeqalimorax platform documentation. Familiarity with these terms supports a more productive first engagement with the review environment.

Terminology Used in the Review Environment

The terms below appear throughout the Scope, Review Tools, and Platform Details pages. Each definition reflects the specific meaning of the term within the Zeqalimorax context, which may differ from common usage in other information systems.

Information Layer
A distinct category of organised content within the Zeqalimorax review environment. Each layer has a defined purpose and a consistent internal format. Layers are navigated sequentially using the layer navigation instrument, though users may also move between non-adjacent layers using the classification view.
Review Interface
The user-facing component of the Zeqalimorax environment through which information is presented and review instruments are accessed. The review interface provides consistent controls across all layers and is designed for users without specialist knowledge of the underlying information architecture.
Layer Navigation
A review instrument that enables users to move between information layers. Layer navigation includes forward and backward controls, a position indicator showing the user's current location within the layer structure, and a return function for restoring a previous position.
Classification View
A review instrument that filters visible content according to its assigned category within the platform's organisational framework. The classification view adjusts the presentation of information without altering the underlying content. It is used to examine a specific category of observations without navigating through adjacent material.
Boundary Indicator
A passive review instrument that appears when a user reaches the limit of available information within a layer. The boundary indicator reflects an honest account of the extent of organised observations in that category and does not represent a fault or error condition within the platform.
Examination Summary
A structured record generated at the end of a review session. The examination summary collates the key observations encountered during the session, including the layers visited, the categories examined, and any boundary indicators encountered. It serves as a reference for subsequent sessions and for formulating follow-up enquiries.
Described Capability
A platform feature that is documented in the platform's informational materials but has not been confirmed as independently verified through external assessment. Described capabilities reflect the intended design of the platform. Users should distinguish described capabilities from confirmed, tested implementations when assessing the platform's suitability for their review objectives.
Scope Boundary
The outer limit of the categories of information currently organised and available within the Zeqalimorax environment. Content that falls outside the scope boundary is not represented within the platform in any form. The scope boundary is documented in the Scope page and reflected within the interface through boundary indicators.
Structured Observation
A unit of information within a layer that has been organised into a consistent format for review. Structured observations are presented with relevant context and classification labels. They are distinguished from contextual descriptions, which explain the category or layer rather than conveying a specific observation.
Access Enquiry
A request submitted through the Reach Us page by a user seeking access to the Zeqalimorax review interface. Access enquiries are reviewed by the support team, who may ask clarifying questions about the user's review objectives before arranging access. Submitting an enquiry does not create an obligation on either party.

"A shared vocabulary reduces friction at the start of any review session. The terms defined here are consistent across every page of the Zeqalimorax documentation."
